FCC Ruling on 700MHz Wireles Microphone Systems
OPERATION OF WIRELESS MICROPHONES IN THE 700 MHZ BAND
IS PROHIBITED AFTER JUNE 12, 2010
Under a new FCC rule, anyone who uses a wireless microphone that operates in the 700 MHz Band will have to stop operating their wireless microphone no later than June 12, 2010. To see if this law affects your wireless microphone.
Why did the FCC make this rule?
Certain wireless microphones have operated in frequencies that are needed for public safety. When these microphones were first designed, the frequencies they used were in between the frequencies that television stations used to broadcast television programs. With the completion of the digital television (DTV) transition on June 12, 2009, television stations no longer use the frequencies between 698 and 806 MHz (the 700 MHz Band) for broadcast. These frequencies are now being used by public safety entities (such as police, fire and emergency services) and by commercial providers of wireless services (such as wireless broadband services).
The wireless microphones that had been operating in the old TV broadcast channels can cause harmful interference to these public safety and wireless consumer services. Therefore, all users of wireless microphones (or certain low power auxiliary stations) that operate on any of the frequencies in the 700 MHz band – including both licensed users (under Part 74) and unlicensed users – now have to stop operating in this band.
The FCC is only prohibiting the use of wireless microphones that operate in the 700 MHz Band. You may continue to use wireless microphones that operate on other broadcast frequencies. Microphones with cords are not affected by the FCC’s decision.

This Jireh Supplies Gift Card is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any manufacturer’s rebate or other offer. If a manufacturer offers any promotion, rebate or other program to benefit the end user, the end user will still be able to send in their old 700MHz wireless system to the manufacturer for the manufacturer's rebate, based on the respective manufacturer's terms and conditions of the rebate. Jireh Supplies has also partnered with Panasonic Industrial Batteries to also provide a one year’s supply of Panasonic Industrial AA Alkaline batteries Part#: PI-AA based on average consumption. The total number of batteries issued will be 72 AA batteries per system purchased for every qualifying system purchased. That's an additional savings to the end user of over $50.00 based on MSRP.
To qualify for the Jireh Supplies Instant Rebate you must purchase a new Shure, Sennheiser, or Audio Technica wireless system between Feb 9, 2010 and June 30, 2010. At the time of purchase you must provide the following information:

Operating Frequency, or Frequency Range. Must be in the 700MHz operating frequency.
Restrictions and Limitations: This gift card rebate is limited to wireless microphone (Shure, Audio Technica, or Sennheiser brands only) purchases made between Feb 9, 2010 and June 30, 2010. Required information MUST be provided at the time of purchase. No back rebates or free batteries will be issued for purchases made prior to Feb 9, 2010. No back rebates or free batteries will be issued for purchases without submission of the requested information at the time of purchase. The Gift Card Rebate and Free Battery promotion applies only to purchases made directly to Jireh Supplies. The 10% Rebate will be issued in the form of a Jireh Supplies Gift Card without exception. This Jireh Supplies Gift Card can only be used for a future purchase and must be used, if at all, no later than one year. The value of the Jireh Supplies Gift Card will be issued for 10% of the purchase price of wireless microphones only, no other purchases qualify. The maximum amount that will be issued is $40.00 per wireless system purchased. Jireh Supplies Gift Card Rebates will not be issued for discounted wireless microphone systems. The prevailing price listed on Jireh Supplies website is the referenced price, and any price less that the price listed online will be considered discounted, and will not qualify for the Gift Card Rebate, and Free Battery promotion. The total number of Free Panasonic Industrial AA Batteries issued will be 72 batteries per qualifying wireless system purchased. Valid only for US resident, and locations within the US. Sales outside the US will not be considered for the Jireh Supplies Gift Card Rebate, and Free Battery Promotion.
There is no cash equivalent value to the Gift Card Rebate and Free Battery promotion and Jireh Supplies reserves the right to cancel either or both of these offers at any time by notice placed on its website. End user’s rebate rights cannot be transferred, the Gift Card is not transferable, and this offer is void where taxed, restricted or prohibited by law. Warning: fraudulent submission could result in federal prosecution under mail fraud statutes (Title 18, USC sections 1341 & 1342). Allow 6-8 weeks for receipt of Gift Card and batteries.
